Random Thoughts

I've started a blog on motivation, it's still a work in progress, hope to have it all written by mid-month.

Two small anecdotes on the fading of things from public knowledge that were once so common. My friends son, who is 11, stayed in a hotel recently and the hotel only had regular digital cable. When using the remote he didn't understand what he was looking at. Like why can't you watch a show whenever you want. For that generation the idea that there was a time where your TV watching schedule was dictated by a network is completely alien.

Also, I said to a friend yesterday: "I'll go prime the TV." And as I did 'prime' the TV by turning it on and casting to it from my phone the thought that unless you've used a chainsaw or some other 2-stroke machinery (and so many now are switching to battery powered chainsaws), you're not going to follow. Probably think I'm going load up Amazon Prime to watch a show.

I wonder how much of my generations sayings/language will be dead to the general population during my winter years. I'm still somewhat on to their lingo, though much of it doesn't entertain me, some is fun to use.

See I'm in my introspective era. I'm going to slay this journal shit while I try not to gatekeep myself from any possible situationships and continue to stan on Emily Blunt.

Weekend Adventures

My mom is flying in this evening, then off to West-by-god for a family reunion. I'll see a lot of people I haven't seen in probably 15 years. I'll visit Burnsy, and we're gonna eat at Rio Grande.

I've picked a new song to learn, I've started to get my fingers back in shape for longer practice sessions. The song is "From Eden" by Hozier. Love that song, also great artist. I'll post a vid when I get some progress on it.
